Hi, this ticket was not addressed in over two years. I want to note that this is still an open issue. Even though TrueCrypt development was discontinued in 2014, TrueCrypt-like volumes are still the most widely used solution for cross platform encryption. The TrueCrypt fork Veracrypt seems to be the predominant successor, with support of VeraCrypt volumes added to cryptsetup in 1.6.7 [1]. And still many Tails users ask for a GUI for TrueCrypt/VeraCrypt volumes. If no one who already knows the codebase is willing to work on this, I plan to prepare a patch myself at some time (which might be in a few months). Before I do that, I would be glad about comments about the general willingness to include this feature. Cheers! |
