dmesg with runpm=1
look in /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/state to see if it says DynOff and DynPwr arond the glxinfo command it sounds liek the gpu is waking up fine. I do not have /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/state I only have /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch 0:IGD:+:Pwr:0000:00:02.0 1:DIS: :DynOff:0000:01:00.0 I think in a way this bug is related to this other one which I reported concerning reverse PRIME: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69876 0:IGD:+:Pwr:0000:00:02.0 1:DIS: :DynOff:0000:01:00.0 this remain the same while runnin glxinfo or glxgears There were some issues with runpm that should be resolved with 3.13.x IIRC. Is this still an issue? Now I am on 3.16 and everything is fine. Cheers Michele Cane, PhD. Created attachment 87623 [details] dmesg with runpm=0 I am running kernel 3.12-rc5 and runpm is not working. The nvidia card (quadro 2000M) is turned off at start but then when called is not turned on. You can compare the 2 dmesg (one with nouveau.runpm=0 and the other nouveau.runpm=1). The procedure I used in both cases is the same: - xrandr --setprovideroffloadsink nouveau Intel and then - DRI_PRIME=1 glxinfo | grep vendor which in both cases gave: OpenGL vendor string: nouveau (which is ok) but on dmesg the card is never turned on Can I provide more info? Cheers Mike
