Why not, if standard login/password authentication is still allowed. Indeed I am sure that many users do not want to make easier to be spied by using OpenID. Best regards. JBF I received a while ago a note from OpenID that they will shut down operation in 2014? Do we have an alternative for LibO sites to login WITHOUT facebook, twitter, etc.? I would very much appreciate the chance to login without any social network. I like to contribute to LibO in the AskLibO forum (currently due to much work very low level), bug reports etc. I also have LibO logos on presentations as well as on my homepage. However I don't want FB etc to get this information into there data sets. I don't want to open a new bug if this is already being looked at, but when I use the feature "forgot password" in bugzilla, I do not receive an email, nor is there one in spam. I can repeat the process several times, and still not receive anything. OpenID is deprecated. Google will shut it down soon - https://developers.google.com/+/api/auth-migration#timetable. OpenID Connect 1.0 (OAuth 2.0 family) is new standard - http://openid.net/connect/, http://openid.net/connect/faq/. (In reply to comment #4) > OpenID is deprecated. To clarify, what I believe you're saying is that we should make sure that Bugzilla can support the latest-and-greatest iteration of OpenID, right? |
