When I boot my optimus laptop with systemd as init system the nouveau driver is unloaded (see xlog).

Applying this patch solves the issue:

Can be easily reproduced without rebooting by starting xserver and running "udevadm trigger --action=add" as root, X.org can be spawned in parallel to the udev trigger rule.
