Excel 97 also shows this behaviour. For as long as I used a spreadsheet software, I experimented this trouble. That doesn't mean that we must not search for a solution. However, I'm afraid that such a solution implies managing the layout of a spreadsheet with floating points coordinates (the same probably for bug 72912) : rather heavy and ressource consuming. If I remember rightly this wasn't an issue with MS Office 2004 which I used prior to Openoffice then Libreoffice. The reason I say this is that this is one of the problems that has irked me from the outset of me using Open/Libreoffice. I have experienced the same bug for many years. I can add that the "Optimal Row Height..." function is dependent on the zoom value. If this function is applied at a particular zoom, all wrapped text becomes visible on-screen. However, changing the zoom after that is likely to create a rendering of cells where some of the wrapped text is NOT visible. PS. My previous comment reflects my current situation running LibreOffice 4.1.3.2 on Ubuntu 13.10. Optimal row height is dependant on zoom level and changes in zoom alter rendering after.... Yes I have discovered this and experimented. Using optimal row height at zoom level 75% represents accurately what is seen in the page preview and gives the best result when exporting to PDF. I confirm. Win 7 64-bit Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 56019dcb79475606952a954fe732a3109441ffec TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2014-10-30_07:27:11 |
