Hello,

On pc Debian x86-64 testing, shutdown fails almost every time since the upgrade to kernel 3.12.
I attached all the information I could retrieve with Debian tools.

Suspecting that you might need the following commit

commit 33e3fd5567a8e04154f2a4b8978fb0f65f25224d
Author: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>
Date: Wed Nov 6 13:48:16 2013 +1000

    nouveau: drop interrupt busy setting.

This causes problems with never going busy due to ptherm polling,
and after talking to Ben I can't see it being required.

Seems like it's in 3.13 only but it might be worth sending it to -stable if it resolves your problem.

FWIW for this type of problems, only a complete dmesg output is preferred.

This is probably fixed since a long time. Feel free to reopen with more complete information if it's still an issue in recent kernels.
