SIGUSR1 is used by X to signal kdm/xdm when it is ready to accept incoming connections.

This worked in 0.0.17 when X was run by exec, but since it is now run by fork, kdm/xdm does not receive the SIGUUSR1 anymore.

Sorry, I do not understand the issue. Is this related to Xspice?
