(http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/7226/where-to-find-the-wish-list-for-libre-office/ told me to ask it here. Please close/remove it, if pure enhancement-ideas are not wanted here)

I would love to be able to have pages in Impress inheriting things from other pages.

E.g. I have a presentation with 2 slides. The second's page title is x. Then I add another slide, making it inherit several things from the previous slide (including the title) and it automatically has the title from the previous page. Topic x is long, so I go on for some other slides. Then I notice, that there is a typo in the header: it should not be "x", but "y". Now I change it in the first page and all other pages that have inherited that property change too.

That would be a really time-saving feature that (seems to me to be) kind of easy to realize.

It would making presentations with LO much more comfortable.

This appears to be a request for a feature that is already provided by the Master Pages facility in Impress. Please have a read through chapter 2 "Using Slide Masters, Styles, and Templates" of the Impress v4.0 User Guide, which is available here:

http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/documentation/

From p.34:

> A slide master is a slide that is used as the starting point for other slides. > It is similar to a page style in Writer: it controls the basic formatting of
> all slides based on it. A slide show can have more than one slide master.
> ...
> A slide master has a defined set of characteristics, including the background
> color, graphic, or gradient; objects (such as logos, decorative lines, and
> other graphics) in the background; headers and footers; placement and size of
> text frames; and the formatting of text.
> All of the characteristics of slide masters are controlled by styles. The
> styles of any new slide you create are inherited from the slide master
> from which it was created.

Status set to NEEDINFO. Summary amended for clarity. Please confirm if this feature provides what you require. If it does not, then we may need to clarify exactly what is required. Set the status back to UNCONFIRMED once the requested information is provided. Thanks.
