When i tried open this file, it open with LO Writer, but failed with LO Writer.

The file should be opened with Calc LO. The file contains HTML table.

CALC LO 4.0 the file opens perfectly
CALC LO 4.1 and CALC LO 4.2 failed

Need help with this issue. I have that install this version to users in the office
Comment 3 Julien Nabet 2014-03-16 20:49:20 UTC
On pc Debian x86-64 with Debian package 4.1.5.3, I could open the file.
Could you give a try to 4.1.5?

Moreover, I think the extension of the file is wrong since it's just plain html.
So I lower the priority

this one example. The apps web export the fileĀ“s with extension .xls.

The users are not very advanced, and not know how to change the extension of the files

I'm not sure to have understood, which app did save the file with xls extension?

If you rename a zip file in txt file, you'll have a surprise trying to open it! :-)
