Description David Delma 2014-05-28 07:41:22 UTC
Writer is a very good application and I like it. One annoying thing, writer is unable to make a very basic flowchart. This is shameful for a so powerful and popular word processor.

Making the connector tools available to writer will solve the problem for we already have the drawing bar there with useful tools.

This enhancement will help those people willing to make a simple flowchart on the go avoid using both draw and writer.

Notice: the connectors are present in draw and impress but they are not present in the tool bars personalization options in writer.

could you make the connectors available in writer?

I can confirm there is no connector in writer. set to new.
This is a feature request.

Hi David,

For time being, pls use Draw with the extra qualities, and copy / paste to Writer (look in Paste special ...)

thanks,
Cor

Hi Cor
When you receive a complex document (.docx) and want to add an element to an existing chart man need the connector. If not you will have to redraw the whole chart in Draw and import it in Writer with the risk of breaking something in the document. Let us imagine the waste of time if the original chart is big

Hi David,

Yes of course I agree that this will be good to have.
(It's my expectation that once all drawing functions are in line across Draw and Writer - which IIRC is something planned - it will be fixed automatically.)
