First, does this work on any Intel platform? There should be no difference here vs. Haswell. Can you please give me more details about the DP->HDMI adapter. We do not currently support HDMI 2.0 which is required for 4k@60FPS. Please also provide output from `xrandr --verbose` (via ssh) if possible. Created attachment 100428 [details]

Created attachment 106932 [details] [review] patch 1/2 Created attachment 106933 [details] [review] patch 2/2 Do these 2 patches applied together help? The machine related to this bug was dead. I tried to reproduce this bug on our new BDW-Y machine, but find DP unable to light up both on 4K monitor and normal monitor. See Bug 85048. I tested it on latest -nightly kernel(1e61c9), the pathchs are inclued in the kernel. Hi, Now that Bug 85048 is closed, would you mind re-testing this and attach a full dmesg from boot with drm.debug=7? Thanks, If it still fails could you try the same thing with i915.enable_ips=0 ? -- Damien Created attachment 110482 [details]

dmesg log with i915.enable_ips=0
It works on normal monitor, but still fails on 4K monitor.
Do you get a pic on screen if you set a smaller resolution? (In reply to Jani Nikula from comment #16) > Do you get a pic on screen if you set a smaller resolution? How can I set a smaller resolution? Would you please teach me a method to do this? See xrandr --mode option. The 4K monitor is successfully lighted up whit 3840x2160 mode. So close this bug.
