Description bapride11 2014-07-31 05:08:25 UTC
Problem description: Occasionally while using menus, the text of a highlighted menu item will disappear, and sometimes reappear. If the text does reappear, it is usually within a second or two. Sometimes the entirety of the menu item text will disappear, and occasionally just part of the text. Trying to create a screenshot will consistently make the text reappear.

This bug occurs most often with only the selected menu item, but when the top level menus are selected (File, Edit, etc.), unselected menu items at the bottom can be affected.

I'm using no experimental features or extensions (except the bundled "Solver for Nonlinear Programming" and "Wiki Publisher").

This visual bug does not appear in any other applications on this system.

I've noticed this for a while, but haven't gotten around to filing a bug report. This is not new to the latest release.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Libreoffice application
2. Move through different menus and menu items until a selected menu item has text disappear.
3. ...

Operating System: Linux (Other)
Version: 4.3.0.3 rc

Forgot to mention, this is using the default VCL plugin (gtk on my system).

What distro and what desktop environment are you using? Please set back to UNCONFIRMED after replying, if you are still experiencing the problem.

Was using GNOME Shell on Arch. Now using LibreOffice 4.3.3.2 on Plasma Shell, and problem cannot be replicated.
