The XCB GIT repository was initially produced by CVS import using gitcvsimport,
which didn't do it right.  The CVS import should be redone with Keithp's
regurgitate/parsecvs and "stuck under" the new changes.

Turns out the CVS repo itself is pretty broken.  This will be hard.

I've reconstructed the full CVS history, run parsecvs over it, and grafted the
result into the repository. It seems OK, but review would be good.
