I should mention that bug 82665 is a *possible* duplicate of this one. However, there is no [drm:i915_set_reset_status] error in any of my logs. Cat /sys/class/drm/card0/error, ls tells lies. Created attachment 104985 [details]
/sys/class/drm/card0/error
Thanks, Chris; you were right! ('file' was lying to me, too!) I redirected the cat output to a new file and was able to upload it as an attachment. I hope that helps. I experienced another hang today while doing some not-very-intensive work in GIMP. Though a chromium-browser instance was open, I was not using it at the time; this leads me to suspect that the hanging is not specific to the browser. Thus, I have slightly changed the bug description. Once again, when the hang occurred, the following was written to /var/log/syslog: [drm] stuck on render ring There were no other messages, and the hang cleared up after a few seconds. |
