Description Jonathan Liu 2014-08-27 00:49:55 UTC
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/systemd/systemd/commit/?id=ba17915457271cc13d46cbafc876277d037acd67 changed the behavior of the IPv4LL option to be independent of DHCPv4. I would like to be able to configure IPv4LL as only a fallback if DHCPv4 fails to obtain an address as is the case in systemd 215 and earlier.
Comment 1 Tom Gundersen 2014-08-27 08:44:31 UTC
Please explain the usecase for this.
Comment 2 Jonathan Liu 2014-08-27 09:01:05 UTC
I don't want software to use the IPv4LL address and broadcast advertisements with it for auto-discovery.

Also, I may have another interface that is using IPv4LL connected directly to another computer and having multiple IPv4LL addresses can confuse the routing.

Please use LinkLocalAddressing=ipv4-fallback
