Description Mattias Ellert 2006-09-22 22:20:47 UTC
Using dejavu-fonts-2.10-1.fc5 from Fedora Extras on Fedora Core 5

At size 10 the right dot on the ö is missing when using full hinting.
At size 8 and 12 the dot can be seen again.
At size 10 the dot also appears again if medium hinting is used instead.

Are you using freetype's autohinter? If so, this hinting issue should be reported to freetype.org, not us.

Their mailing list:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/mail/?group=freetype
Comment 6 Denis Jacquerye 2007-04-02 15:21:07 UTC
This is an autohinter bug.

Thanks for reporting the bug but the freetype mailing list is the right place to report it.
Comment 7 Nicolas Mailhot 2008-12-06 11:25:23 UTC
Mass move of freetype bugs to the new freetype product
Comment 8 Nicolas Mailhot 2008-12-06 11:27:48 UTC
Reopen the NOTOURBUG reports now they're correctly affected
