Description Jay Philips 2014-09-24 20:47:05 UTC
In bug 79261 comment 7, todventtu@suomi24.fi stated that opening attachment 99867 [details] on Windows gives a 'General Error. General input/output error' and i'm confirming that it does on master.

Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 0b3b907e96a8bbc477b8755a5bcffc350c53ce2b
TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2014-09-16_05:01:30

This is a regression as this doesnt happen in 4.2.6 or 4.3.3.

Version: 4.3.3.0.0+
Build ID: fe8b83f06fdc93ac06f4035c3ea50c51d0e3d026

Will download the latest builds and retest to confirm this again.

The correct file is attachment 98994 [details]. :D

And reconfirmed the same error with a clean profile.

Just for the record, on pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I've got no error message by using open but I noticed these console logs:
warn:xmloff.core:17678:1:xmloff/source/core/xmlimp.cxx:753: SvXMLImport::endElement: popped context has wrong prefix
warn:xmloff.core:17678:1:xmloff/source/core/xmlimp.cxx:753: SvXMLImport::endElement: popped context has wrong prefix
warn:xmloff.core:17678:1:xmloff/source/core/xmlimp.cxx:1361: duplicate style name
warn:legacy.osl:17678:1:svx/source/sdr/contact/viewcontactofsdrpathobj.cxx:67: PolyPolygon object without geometry detected, this should not be created (!)

(no specific problem when using insert image)
Comment 8 Beluga 2014-09-26 08:39:17 UTC
The fruit.svg doesn't seem to be from Inkscape, but maybe this is related: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77268
Comment 9 Björn Michaelsen 2014-11-28 09:42:14 UTC
(This is an automated message.)

LibreOffice development currently prioritizes bugs with the so called MAB (most annoying bugs) -- as this bug has not run through that process (including writing a short rationale for this bug being a candidate and other who are watching the tracker bug silently approving that rationale etc.) its priority is set to high. Note this is effectively no change in the urgency assigned to this bug, as we are currently not making a difference between high and highest and severity is untouched.

You can find out more about MABs and how the process works by contacting libreoffice qa on irc:

 http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=libreoffice-qa

The QA wiki page also gives you hints on how to get in contact with the team (if IRC fails you, your next best choice is the mailing list):
