If you need to select speakers to get audio from headphones, that's most likely a bug in the alsa kernel driver. As for selecting "analog output" by default, that's a known bug in pulseaudio, and should get fixed in the next release. https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/tiwai/sound.git/commit/sound/pci/hda/patch_conexant.c?id=d0ea6d270bd9f1883f716f92e7837152a4146cf7 -static const struct snd_pci_quirk cxt5045_cfg_tbl[] = { - SND_PCI_QUIRK(0x152d, 0x0753, "Benq R55E", CXT5045_BENQ), - SND_PCI_QUIRK(0x1734, 0x10ad, "Fujitsu Si1520", CXT5045_LAPTOP_MICSENSE), - SND_PCI_QUIRK(0x1734, 0x10cb, "Fujitsu Si3515", CXT5045_LAPTOP_HPMICSENSE), seem your si1520 didn't use unsol event for hp -- GitLab Migration Automatic Message -- This bug has been migrated to freedesktop.org's GitLab instance and has been closed from further activity.
