Most of the time, it would be very convenient to have the VM use the same keyboard layout as the guest OS. These can be configured in the VM to match, but  a way to do that automatically would be even better. This could go through the agent.
As an added complication, there are quite a few ways to configure this :( linux console layout, xkb (+ ibus on top of this), then there is Windows, ...

For GNOME to GNOME, might be nice to sync the org.gnome.desktop.input-sources gsettings keys.
