Related to bug 77569.
LibreOffice Calc has with "Choose Themes" a very capable solution for Table Styles in Calc. It is in the toolbar "View" -> "Toolbars" -> "Tools". Choose Themes is based on the styles concept of LibreOffice.
However, usability needs to be improved to actually get a perfect solution:

Please add:
* possibility to add new themes on basis of the current cell selection. ("Add theme on basis of selection"). Following the logic in Choose Themes it shall add a theme on basis of the different cells in the selected table: bl=bottom left cell of tables, t=top, tr=top right, etc.)
* possibility to delete themes ("Delete theme")
* possibility to "Format selected cells according to theme", including the correct assignment of the different cell styles to the current selection of cells.

and in the long run:
* possibility to have alternating rows (color and so forth).

P.S: After these improvements, IMHO it is possible to remove the feature "AutoFormat" from Calc.

This seems an interesting proposal to add as a GSoC task ;)

About removing autoformat, it must be noted that if you must have 2 Calc tables with different formatting, changing styles of one table will change style of all tables with the same styles applied.
