Binary package hint: telepathy-blue

Ubuntu version: Edgy with latest updates.

File:
/usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.Telepathy.ConnectionManager.blue.service

Expected:
[D-BUS Service]
Name=org.freedesktop.Telepathy.ConnectionManager.blue
Exec=/usr/bin/telepathy-blue

Actual:
[D-BUS Service]
Name=org.freedesktop.Telepathy.ConnectionManager.gabble
Exec=/usr/bin/telepathy-gabble

After correcting this manually, I am able to make a connection to my bluetooth
phone using cohoba-applet, but the connection lasts only for few seconds. And I
don't know how to send SMS using cohoba-applet.

Raph, is telepathy-blue even considered to be supported? Should distros be shipping it at all? If so, we should give it its own bugzilla component; if not, we should close this WONTFIX and ask for it to be removed from Ubuntu.
Comment 3 Simon McVittie 2008-04-30 09:54:12 UTC
telepathy-blue is an unsupported experiment. Consider using gnome-phone-manager instead.

Closing this WONTFIX since there's no sign of any development on -blue.
