When only changing the zoom level of a document you cannot save it as template as this is not recognized as a change to the document.
You also cannot simply change the zoom level of a template always have to make and revert some other change to be able to save the zoomlevel change.
Please make LO writer recognize the change of zoom level as a change so you can save the it and make it permanent.

REPRO STEPS:
- Open a new Writer document and confirm the zoom is at 100%
- Add the text "foo" and save the document as zoom-foo.odt
- Change the zoom to 200%, and confirm that the Save icon is grayed-out
- Now add text "bar" and save the document as zoom-bar.odt
- Close LibreOffice
- Reopen LibreOffice and open zoom-foo and zoom-bar. Confirm that the zoom percentages are still set to 100% and 200%

RESULT: Zoom factors are saveable, but do not register as a change when enabling the Save button.

Sounds like a reasonable enhancement.
