I can also reproduce this. Radeon 6850. After reading through the thread on the steam community page, a user reported that he could play the game without blackscreens or kernel panics. Link to post: http://steamcommunity.com/app/65980/discussions/0/626329820749233064/?tscn=1419181869#c626329820924042305 I upgraded my current Mesa install with another one compiled with LLVM 3.6, which got rid of the lockups I experience a crash using an 5770 & default settings, even when using LLVM 3.6(svn). The PC reboots during loading a game. I didn't write the kernel logs to a serial console, yet. What logs would be needed? System: ArchLinux AMD64 with mesa/git package repository. Created attachment 111041 [details] Beyond Earth settings GPU locks up, then tries a softreset but never succeeds in recovering. It happens as soon as you click "play game", with the settings shown in the attached picture. I'll attach kern.log in the next post.
