when selecting multiple cells either vertically or horizontally using the mouse the selection does not stop i.e. scans entire spreadsheet range, only way to stop selection is to terminal program. working backwards works as long as the selected cell start at A1.

please tell which LibO version you are using (latest available is 4.3.5.2) then try resetting the user profile:

I can not confirm with LO 4.3.5, win7.
To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you rename this LibreOffice user directory ( see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Default_location or http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/903/where-are-the-libreoffice-data-profile-files/ ) and re-test? Test with version 4.3.5.
