plug DP after os boot up. DP monitor probably can't be lighted up.

But if boot os up with pluging DP, DP monitor hotplug works well.

We just merged some SKL fixes that may affect all display-related tests. Please retest this bug against the latest drm-intel-nightly.

This issue still exists. The monitor can be lighted up after using command " testdisplay -i".

Not reproduced on Sky Lake Y with the kernel 4.3.0-drm-intel-nightly.
