Description Ding Heng 2015-03-17 07:53:26 UTC
==System Environment==
--------------------------
Regression: No, I didn't find a good commit since Sep 2014

Non-working platforms: BYT

==kernel==
--------------------------
origin/drm-intel-testing: aaf3acbb523d9b3b3b00827f880f743e0d964684(2015-03-14)

==Bug detailed description==
-----------------------------
When enter S3 state the machine will not be able to woke up by the key board. The only thing I can do is to reboot it through the power button. So I can't get any output after that.

==Reproduce steps==
----------------------------
1. echo mem > /sys/power/state
2. Press keys on keyboard and try to resume.

Hi Ding Heng,

Could you please:
1. Including dmesg log
2. Boot with modprobe.blacklist=i915 to check if this issue still exists
3. If possible, check another machine.

Hm if it's been broken this long, why didn't we get a bug report back in Sept.? There must be a good commit in there somewhere; I'd expect users to report suspend/resume failures if it were this broken (though we do have #89611, so it could be pretty old).

I can't reporduce this issue with the same kernel and machine. Close this bug.
