This bug is basically the same as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1334968 , but concerns a different laptop.

I've attached patch that fixes it.

As of version 208-8ubuntu8.2 (which is found on my Ubuntu 14.10), any line with atkbd in it does not work. So I'd safely assume that your commit works with any version that includes atkbd support.
