If DPMS is enabled the screen can power off in some unwanted situations where no input is done like on watching videos. Maybe there could be an option that treats screen activity similar as input and resets the related timer. Also maybe this option could be a threshold to adjust for different levels of activity (for example some users may want the screen to power off after some time if the cursor on a document blinks but not on watching videos).
