Have a look at the profiles. Your ddx supports acceleration with that color depth, so something else in the render chain is likely to be doing GetImage/PutImage fallback rendering. Thanks for spending your time here. Could you please be more explicit on profiles ? Do you mean the problem lies in xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.916-3.20141117.fc21.x86_64 ? I expect that the time spent in Xorg is expected based on the activity of the clients. By profile, start with sudo perf top (record + report for attaching) then narrow down into whether that time is indeed expected (e.g. if it is from GetImage/PutImage or similar, it is the client's fault).
