Description Jeff D. Hanson 2006-11-17 17:10:40 UTC
As per Ubuntu bug 72263
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/72263

Module v1.1.0
Everything seems to work normally (except maybe the OpenGL support) but when I
play a video file or stream in RealPlayer 10 or VLC it only shows a background
raster. No errors in dialogs or logs.

As far as OpenGL issues I noticed that SuperTux is ridiculously slow with OpenGL
is enabled but I don't know if it is related to this bug or just a limitation of
the driver/chip.
Comment 1 Jeff D. Hanson 2006-11-17 18:43:42 UTC
Further testing revealed that it only happens with 24 bit color depth.
Comment 2 Daniel Stone 2007-02-27 01:34:43 UTC
Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future.
Comment 3 Jeremy Huddleston Sequoia 2011-10-17 00:52:03 UTC
If you can provide a patch to fix overlay support at other depths, it will be
considered, but based on the age of this driver, closing as WONTFIX.

After 5 years I guess this isn't a surprise.
