Connecting the display over mini displayport (thunderbolt connector) hangs the laptop. when doing this while displaying the desktop I get nothing computer just dies no logs no nothing, it just freezes. If I switch to console mode before connecting the cable I get the attached output from the kernel. kernel version is Linux retina 4.0.5-040005-generic #201506061639 SMP Sat Jun 6 16:40:45 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux os is ubuntu 15.04 I tried with the thunderbolt module loaded or unloaded same result.
