This bug has already been reported as #9154 and fixed in libX11 git. As mentioned in that bug report, you can get the patch we committed here: http://gitweb.freedesktop.org/?p=xorg/lib/libX11.git;a=commitdiff_plain;h=c6a0b0f18ed1242eeb908f5cf767ab8381edd456 By the way, you shouldn't need to recompile anything, kompmgr included, to use Xlib/XCB.
