Created attachment 118233 [details] fix-bashism-use-of-echo.patch xdg-email relies on bash's echo behaviour (specifically the -e option) in run_thunderbird(). It doesn't work with dash. The attached patch from Debian replaces the echo calls with /bin/echo which does support -e.
