Weston is missing an easy way to access an application menu.  It would be convenient to access an applications menu when right clicking, or as an alternative having a toolbar button to access an application menu.

A way to manually add non registered applications to such applications menu will also be appreciated.

I think this won't be implemented in Weston per se. However, once we have libweston out the door the first time, a third-party compositor built on libweston could do it.

This is our policy upstream to not clutter weston with end-user features, but we are going to offer libweston instead. It is a long-term plan.
