Created attachment 119685 [details] dmesg log (cut) Hello, I'm using Arch Linux and experience these GPU hangs occassionally (usually when using firefox) at least once a week since I updated from 3.11-something to 4.2.5-1-ARCH. I also tried the lts Kernel 4.1.12-1 which has got the same problem. As a result, some windows are messed up (like a hurrican went through my desktop); some windows are not affected at all. Usually, firefox is affected and especially video playback stays messed up - but I don't know how helpful that is. I have not tested the nightly build (I just read about it) so I'm sorry for that... I have prepared everything following the instructions of 'dmesg' which are a lot different... I will read through the instructions and add the logs and debugs ASAP. --- Instructions --- [ 6131.999503] [drm] stuck on render ring [ 6132.006259] [drm] GPU HANG: ecode 3:0:0x7c7effc1, in Xorg [427], reason: Ring hung, action: reset [ 6132.006268] [drm] GPU hangs can indicate a bug anywhere in the entire gfx stack, including userspace. [ 6132.006272] [drm] Please file a _new_ bug report on bugs.freedesktop.org against DRI -> DRM/Intel [ 6132.006276] [drm] drm/i915 developers can then reassign to the right component if it's not a kernel issue. [ 6132.006280] [drm] The gpu crash dump is required to analyze gpu hangs, so please always attach it. [ 6132.006283] [drm] GPU crash dump saved to /sys/class/drm/card0/error
