I need an evemu-record of said click+drag event sequence please so I can reproduce this locally. Sorry, after trying to reproduce this issue and thinking about it: I don't want to trackpad to do drag events. I want dragging only to work with the Trackpoint, not the trackpad. Since with the trackpad I mistakenly make poor selections and drags. I just want to use the trackpad to move and scroll. But when a click modifier is made, I don't want the trackpad to be used for the fear of it messing up my selection by being too sensitive. Created attachment 119694 [details]

sorry, I don't understand the description above. In libinput we don't have a drag event, there are only motion and button events. Dragging is achieved whenever a motion event happens after a button was pressed. If I read Comment 2 right you want the touchpad to not send events while a button is down. If so, that's not something we support and I don't have plans to add this. It's better to focus on the real issue which seems to be that the touchpad is too sensitive? ping? in needinfo since january, closing |

I need to disable this undesirable behaviour. I am not sure how to configure to stop this behaviour.
