ok -- managed to trigger the stall again: turned on 2nd display attached to the docking station (also via displayport), which xrandr doesn't actually see as connected, and usually it just shows the cloning of the 1st display (I guess docking station does it internally). When I turned it off again, which lead X to reset display and almost come back when it stalled... after reboot journalctl -b -1 showed: Nov 18 14:00:49 hopa /usr/lib/gdm3/gdm-x-session[2354]: (II) Warning seemed to be related, although it is not. do you think I should file a separate report on the stall? Thanks in advance for the guidance (In reply to Yaroslav Halchenko from comment #3) > Thanks for looking at this issue Jani, but as you might have noted it is > also about the complete stall of the system, which is not what reported in > 92456. Warning seemed to be related, although it is not. do you think I > should file a separate report on the stall? > > Thanks in advance for the guidance Yes please, one bug per report, and if you report an oops, don't hide it in a comment in bug about a state checker error! Now that I look at the backtrace in comment #1, I don't think it's an i915 bug at all. We don't use ttm. Try Radeon. |
