Created attachment 120887 [details] [review] add KBL codec id patch Jairo, Could you check if you reproduce this bug and if the patch fixes the problem? Thanks So that we're clear - Vinod, you're seeing HDMI display in initialize properly, you're just not getting audio as well, correct? (In reply to Gavin Hindman from comment #3) > So that we're clear - Vinod, you're seeing HDMI display in initialize > properly, you're just not getting audio as well, correct? Yes, with attached patch I see display codec up and responding but we never get HDMI plug in/out notifcation from gfx driver and playing audio is all silent and no errors So I tried to reproduce this on KBL using v4.4-rc8 kernel, I am able to hear audio using headphones or through the Monitor speakers. However looks like this is not the problem, which kind of event notification are you referring to? I tried in other platforms but also can't see or hear an event when HDMI Hotplug. Would really appreciate if you can provide the steps you did to reproduce this, and what is the expected output. Hi Vinod, Do you still reproduce it? (In reply to cprigent from comment #6) > Hi Vinod, > Do you still reproduce it? Nope closing |
