Description Davide Corrado 2016-01-21 16:58:13 UTC
I get wrong resolution on a windows 7 guest. My host resolution is 2560x1440 but it spice agent detects it as half resolution. If I disable spice agent I can set the resolution but cut and paste is missing. is there a way to force spice agent to use a certain resolution (or aspect ratio, whatever).

thanks.

BTW with a fullhd screen the resolution os detected correctly.

host is fedora 22 64bit using gnome shell

Hi, how was the vm created? Are you using the latest guest tools? What do you mean by the "half resolution"?

I just tried with win7 created using virt-manager. I connect using virt-viewer and change the resolution to 2560x1440 without any issues.

This should be working.

Please double check if you have the guest-tools [0] installed and that you have newer version of qemu, spice and virt-viewer.

Fedora 22 is a bit old. Fedora 23 is the currently stable one and Fedora 24 already will have the beta release soon.
