can you share what processor are you using on that board - GA-EG45M-UD2H Yes, it uses an E5200, http://ark.intel.com/products/37212/Intel-Pentium-Processor-E5200-2M-Cache-2_50-GHz-800-MHz-FSB [ 4.376702] [drm:intel_hdmi_detect] Live status not up! Please try 4.4.4 or v4.5-rc7. I will do this over the weekend, thank you. v4.4.6 exhibits the same behavior Please test 4.5 or if that doesn't help 4.6-rc7. The commit of interest in 4.5 is: 8d409cb3e8a2 ("drm/i915: Fix hpd live status bits for g4x") and the one in 4.6-rx7 is: 60b3143c7cac ("drm/i915: Fake HDMI live status") This hardware has been retired; recommend closing this bug report unless other users are able to debug further. (In reply to John from comment #10) > This hardware has been retired; recommend closing this bug report unless > other users are able to debug further. All right. I presume this should have been fixed by one of these 8d409cb3e8a2 ("drm/i915: Fix hpd live status bits for g4x") 60b3143c7cac ("drm/i915: Fake HDMI live status") so marking as fixed (since we lack a proper status for "can't test anymore") |

Created attachment 121552 [details] dmesg under 4.3.5 Upon updating to linux-4.4.1 from linux-4.3.5, Xorg is unable to run in the native 1920x1080 resolution and instead defaults to 1027x768. Downgrading back to the 4.3 series kernel fixes this problem.
