Since today afternoon git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/wayland/libinput is not working.

This is probably a git repo issue but I didn't find any forum to report the git related issue.

Below is the error seen:
git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/wayland/libinput
Cloning into 'libinput'...
fatal: unable to connect to anongit.freedesktop.org:
anongit.freedesktop.org[0: 131.252.210.161]: errno=Connection refused
anongit.freedesktop.org[1: 2610:10:20:722:a800:ff:fe24:61cf]: errno=Network is unreachable

anongit was taken offline to handle the git CVE. you can still clone via http://anongit...

closing as WORKSFORME, there's a workaround and I expect this to be back very soon. please reopen if it's still broken in a day or two
