Description Sebastien Bacher 2006-12-29 02:53:44 UTC
That bug has been opened on
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/71761

"On the attached document, evince prints the first three pages, and then stops.
pages 4 and 5 are not printed regardless of what I do. pages 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10
print fine.

The printer is a hp laserjet 4250 using the postscript driver. It has its own
ip on the network.

Problematic pdf file

printing this pdf to a file produces a ps file which is not shown both by
evince as well as gs-esp. And this output.ps fails to be converted to pdf using
ps2pdf."

The bug has been sent on bugzilla.gnome.org first:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389751

comment from bugzilla:

"pdftops from poppler head creates an invalid ps (pages 4 and 5) with this pdf
file, so it should be a poppler bug. Could you please follow these instructions
to help get this bug fixed?.

http://live.gnome.org/Evince/PopplerBugs#poppler

Thank You."

util/pdftops from current CVS still produces broken output.

Works for me now, please reopen if it still fails for you.

Also in any case it was not a splash problem.
