This is an issue not with xkeyboard-config but with particular apps/toolkits/desktops ... Saying that - how do you expect the code to know where Latin C or V is? If there is no single group in configuration containing these symbols? setxkbmap ru leaves you with cyrillic symbols only! Yeap, but I thought it should use key codes, not actual symbol, and others layouts should not have influence. And what if I don't need other layout but Russian? Now shortcuts will not work at all. That is kind of non user-friendly :) xk-c has nothing to do with that. It is the code that processes shortcuts - it should check all configured xkb groups. |
