plea look like you have already the latest BIOS. So please, attached full dmesg with drm.debug=14 in boot command line where you are reproducing this issue. Created attachment 124929 [details]
New logs with drm.debug=14
Took me about 5 suspend/resume actions to replicate it this time. Before doing the 5'th suspend, I waited for DPMS to turn off my display, and then pressed some keys to get my screen back to normal, then I suspended the system. So, I think it might be related to DPMS somehow.
Like I said; upon resume, the screen blanking only happens in FULL-SCREEN software, and it only seems to go away if I return the windows to their normal size, using some key combo, or if I use my Dell's pointing stick.
Kernel: Linux myhost 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.7-ckt25-2+deb8u3 (2016-07-02) x86_64 GNU/Linux
Any news on this one guys? Could you try the drm-intel-nightly branch from git://anongit.freedesktop.org/drm-intel ? kolp23@yopmail.com - We seem to have neglected the bug quite a bit, apologies. Do you see this problem with the latest kernel (preferable drm-tip branch from git://anongit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip) ? Mark this as REOPENED if you can reproduce (and attach kernel log) and RESOLVED if you cannot reproduce. based on the lack of activity in recent times this bug will be closed but if the issue is again visible with latest configuration open a new bug |
