/sys/class/drm/card0/error

GPU hang, resulting in the hardware renderer being disabled until reboot.

Happens pretty reliably after a short time after start up.

Ubuntu 14.04, x86_64, 4.2.0-30-generic

Active graphics processes:
  - inyaface, OpenGL animated robot face renderer
  - chromium-browser 49.0.2623.108

From your error dump, we can see the following error.

ERROR: 0x00000101
TLB page fault error (GTT entry not valid)
Cacheline containing a PD was marked as invalid

in, render ring we have
  FAULT_REG: 0x000000c5
    Valid
    Unloaded PD Fault (PPGTT)
    Address 0x00000000
    Source ID 24

This is not happening in batch (checked in the render ring section).

Chris, do you think this could an issue with hw memory? Any direction to look for?

Hello Rob, Yann,
This haven't been update in a long time, is this problem still valid? Rob, could you confirm if is still reproducible in latest kernels and sorry for the long delay.
Thanks.
