boot log

I have an HD6450 connected to a Vizio 4K TV via HDMI passed through a Denon AVR-1913 receiver. Until the radeon module is loaded, boot output is visible. Running xorg-xf86-video-ati 7.7.1 and vanilla Linux kernel 4.7.2.

Kernel config
Comment 2 Michel Dänzer 2016-10-04 08:33:07 UTC
Did it work with older kernels? If yes, can you bisect?
Comment 3 Alex Deucher 2016-10-04 14:03:44 UTC
Please attach your xorg log as well.

The error occurs before I even get to X. This machine boots to a console login screen, at which point I login and potentially start X. However, during the initial boot, I get kernel output until the radeon module gets loaded, at which point the screen goes blank and tells me it has no signal.

Do you want me to try to start X in the dark, so to speak, and grab the log after rebooting?

Yes please.

Xorg log

X started successfully, with output only to the attached DVI connector. xrandr --output HDMI-0 --mode 1920x1080 failed to light up the TV through the HDMI connector.

Recent test results:
Kernel 3.13.6 - DVI output after boot, but with vertical, inch-wide blue-green stripes. No HDMI output. X unusable on either screen.
Kernel 4.0 - DVI output after boot. No HDMI output. X works on DVI only.
Kernel 4.7.2 - No DVI or HDMI output after boot. X works on DVI only.
