Comment 6 Daniel Stone 2007-04-05 22:22:10 UTC
this bug is not fixed for me on an 855gm, using xserver master from today (5a804f2e97ab59745482660a635b801ac2b9e769) and intel master from today (d9d05b553ca1f98efc230ef13f34576122311ac1, 1.1.99.4). the video was displaying as black and then locking up with an older x server, but now it appears to just be displaying blue in the video area. either way, still no video.

The overlay pipe is default to 0, which is bad for lvds, as it can only be on pipeB with intel hw. We should detect current pipe to assign overlay. The workaround now is to use tools like xvattr to set XV_PIPE.
Comment 9 Daniel Stone 2007-04-17 02:22:36 UTC
the two patches from jm ibanez allow me to do video on lvds now. no idea about vga however, since plugging in my lcd results in the laptop immediately powering off.
