Description Lucas Williams 2016-10-13 02:49:38 UTC
Since the upgrade to Sierra on my Mac, when I try to run ssh -X kvm-server virt-manager I get the following error:

root@kvm-server:~$ Failed to connect to Mir: Failed to connect to server socket: No such file or directory
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused
Failed to connect to Mir: Failed to connect to server socket: No such file or directory
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused

(virt-manager:4772): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_settings_get_for_screen: assertion 'GDK_IS_SCREEN (screen)' failed

If I connect from another host such as Linux, the connection works as designed. If I connect from El Capitan or Yosemite, it works.

ssh forwarding works fine for me on Sierra.

If it didn't, the issue would be with ssh, not with XQuartz.
