dmesg with debug output

From time to time (once every 2 hours), during the work (key press??), display blacks for ~2seconds. After that, everything restores an is fine again.

Once that happens, dmesg says:
*ERROR* CPU pipe B FIFO underrun

Dmesg with debug output is attached.

Kernel:
4.8.4-200.fc24.x86_64

I tried to run intel-drm kernel but I was consistently getting "double free" error during boot-up.

Is this still issue?
Comment 2 Cedric M 2017-01-10 13:43:31 UTC
Seems very similar to 97264 (in my case, it's just happening much more frequently, maybe due to a greater count of pixels).

If it's the same bug, yes, it's still present.
Comment 3 Jiri Pirko 2017-01-10 14:51:42 UTC
I don't see this issue anymore on 4.8.15-200.fc24.x86_64
Comment 4 Cedric M 2017-01-10 15:11:54 UTC
Lucky you ;)
Still have the issue reported at 97264 on 4.10.0-041000rc3-generic

With latest changes on atomic/WM work can you still reproduce on drm-tip?
Comment 6 Cedric M 2017-03-08 11:42:14 UTC
Hey,

I have been playing with drm-tip for an hour: so far so good! :)

Thanks,
Cedric

Cedric, any updates, good now?
Comment 8 Cedric M 2017-03-28 15:53:11 UTC
Yes, no blanking anymore ! :-)
Didn't try any newer kernel since though.
I guess that it's going to be merged in stock 4.12 ?

Still get occasional lockups (mouse ultra slow to move/huge lag, everything else frozen), but I guess that it's not related to this bug.

Thanks !
