I have a similiar problem with my R9 280X on Linux 4.8.14 but can only reproduce it if I load a map in CS:GO. Everything works fine until the loading bar almost reaches the end. Then the screen turns black or I'm thrown back to tty and greeted with the message: radeon 0000:6e:00.0: ring 0 stalled for more than 1908msec. I don't have access to my main computer right now so I can't get a trace of it at this moment and I can't recall if the problem started when upgrading the kernel or when I updated mesa. This is a GPU hang. Ideally you'd have some way to reproduceably trigger it. -- GitLab Migration Automatic Message -- This bug has been migrated to freedesktop.org's GitLab instance and has been closed from further activity.
